Dena Young

Dena Frances Young, 84, of Hornersville, Mo. died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born April 14, 1922, in Bardley, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Lou Raymond and Oma Mae Dale Christain.

On Oct. 14, 1938, in Hornersville, she married Euell Madison "Peck" Young, who preceded her in death on March 22, 1987. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Lou Earl, Noble, Herman and Lonnie Christain; two sisters, Leah Cochran and Lessie Dale and one granddaughter, Vickie Morgan.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Don Young and wife, Diane and C.H. Young and wife, Sandy, all of Hornersville; one daughter, Eulane Young, of Hornersville; one sister, Milva Keating, of Hornersville; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., today, Thursday, Oct. 5, at the Hornersville Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Knox officiating.

Burial was in the Horner Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Rick Bibbs, David Christain, Terry Keating, Travis Galyean, Larry Vance and Tommy Wilkins.
