Ruth Johnson, 81, of Senath, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, at her residence.
Born May 5, 1925, in Truman, Ark., she was the daughter of the late James F. Estes and Velma E. Estes Washam.
On Nov. 16, 1940, in Senath, she married Armal Johnson, who preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 2004. She was also preceded in death by one son, Eddie Johnson; one daughter, Diana Kay Johnson; two brothers, Jeff "Huck" Turman and Charles "Buster" Estes and one sister, Wilma Cady.
Survivors include one son, Glen Johnson and wife, Beverly, of Senath; one daughter, Patsy Davis and husband, Dale, of Senath; one brother, Robert Earl Washam, of St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Millie Shands, of San Antonio, Texas and Betty Shafer, of Inkster, Mich.; six grandchildren, Chuck Johnson and wife, Carla, Mark Johnson and wife, Teresa, Jim Johnson and wife, Tina, Jon Paul Davis, Jamie Johnson and wife, Leslie and Heather Johnson; six great-grandchildren, Lauren, Katelyn, Morgan, Shona, Stephen and Cody Johnson; one great-great-granddaughter, Annalyn Johnson and other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 2, at the First Baptist Church in Senath with the Revs. Doug Clinton and Kevin Sullivan officiating.
Burial was in the Senath Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Keith Milligan, Chuck Johnson, Mark Johnson, Jim Johnson, Jamie Johnson, Glen Johnson and Jon Paul Davis.
McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath was in charge of arrangements.
