Born July 19, 1918, in Hollywood, Mo., son of the late Guy and Dollie Moore, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII. He was a graduate of Arbyrd High School and retired from the United States Postal Service-Rural Letter Carriers.
On Oct. 12, 1940, he married Jewel McCormack, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, W.C. "Bud" Moore and W.G. "Dub" Moore and two sisters, Virginia Moore Parker and Alberta Herrell Davis.
Survivors include one son, Charlie Moore, of Leachville, Ark.; One daughter, Karen Coy and husband, Dale, of Paragould; one sister, Rosemary Wilson and husband, George, of Searcy, Ark.; one grandson, Tommy Coy and Jennie, of Little Rock, Ark.; two granddaughters, Keisha Bower and Gary, of Muncy, Pa., and Paige Moore, of Arbyrd, Mo.; one great-grandson, Jackson Bower, of Muncy; three great-granddaughters, Olivia Bower, of Muncy and Annie Marie and Alexis Coy, both of Little Rock and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., today, Tuesday, Oct. 3, at the Arbyrd Church of Christ. Services were conducted by Alvin Leach, George Wilson, Larry Wilson and Dale E. Coy.
Song leader was Tommy Coy (congregational singing).
Burial was in the Cardwell Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ritchard Zolman, Lymon Zolman, Ron Zolman, Larry Petty, Eric Kisner and Keith Guthrie.
Honorary pallbearers were Eulus Vaughn, George H. "Dunk" Allison, Neal Smith and Kenny Guthrie.
McDaniel Funeral Home in Arbyrd was in charge of arrangements.
