Jackie Traughber

Jackie Lavern Traughber, 65, of Malden, Mo., died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006, at Beverly Healthcare in Malden.

Born April 27, 1941, in Savannah, Tenn., daughter of the late Jamie and Farrah Banks, she was a homemaker and she attended the Assembly of God Church in Malden.

On March 5, 1957, 1957, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married Thomas Edward Traughber, who survives.

Survivors also include two daughters, Sherry Stump and husband, John, of Jonesboro, Ark., and Kim Medlin and husband, Larry, of Malden; one son, Mark Traughber, of Vanduser, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Felecia Chapman, of Wynne, Ark., Aaron Stump, of Jonesboro, Derek and Justin Medlin, both of Malden. Kaden Traughber, of Gideon, Mo., and McKenzie and Ashton Traughber, both of Vanduser and one great-grandson, Landen Carter Chapman, of Wynne.

She was preceded in death by one son, Tony Edward Traughber; one daughter, Brenda Kay Traughber and one sister.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Thursday, Sept. 28, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 29, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Bolin officiating.

Burial will follow in the Rosewood First Addition Cemetery at Malden.
