Laura Virginia Lampe, 82, of Glennonville, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at Cori Manor Nursing Home in Fenton, Mo.
Born July 20, 1924, in Glennonville, daughter of the late Albert and Catherine Siebert Meyer, she was a cook, a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church in Glennonville, member of St. Ann Altar Society and VFW Auxiliary.
On March 4, 1946, in Glennonville, she married George Lampe, who preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 1995. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Megan Mahon and her step-mother, Laura Siebert Meyer.
Survivors include seven daughters, Glenda Peterson and husband, Pete and Geralyn Peterson and husband, Roy, all of Dittmer, Mo., Janis Humberd and husband, Gary, of St. Charles, Mo., Janelle Mahon and husband, Mitch and Mary Aita, all of St. Louis, Mo., Laura Shaffer and husband, Tim, of Campbell, Mo., and Georgene Modlin and husband, Larry, of Glennonville; two sons, Terry Lampe and wife, Linda, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Maurice Lampe, of Glennonville; one sister, Ada Bader, of Glennonville; 22 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 26, at the St. Teresa Catholic Church in Glennonville with Fathers Bertin Miller OFM and Nathan McNally OFM officiating.
Burial was in the St. Teresa Cemetery at Glennonville.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
