Joyce Nell Zimmerman, 70, of Malden, Mo., died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, at her residence.

Born Oct. 7, 1935, in Bastrop, La., daughter of the late Tom Corbin and Eva Alta Carver Goldsmith, she was employed at Brown Shoe Factory and owner/operator of Goldsmith's Cash and Carry and Joyce's Variety Barn in Malden. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Malden.

On July 5, 1952, in Malden, she married William Lee "Bill" Zimmerman, who survives.

Survivors also include two sons, Garland Lee Zimmerman and Wade LaMont Zimmerman and wife, Sheila Ann, all of Malden; two daughters, Cynthia RaChell Zimmerman, of Vandalia, Mo., and Sheila Denise Wayne and husband, Charles Lee, of Clarkton, Mo.; one sister, Merlene Avanell Hayes and husband, Jerry, of Branson, Mo.; two step-sisters, Shirley Graddy, of Greenway, Ark., and Donna Burcks and husband, Cletus, of Valley Springs, Calif.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Gertie Goldsmith; one brother, Tom Goldsmith, Jr.; three sisters, Evanita, Reba and Lillian Goldsmith; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., today, Tuesday, Sept. 19, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Revs. Dale Shoup and James Bolin officiating.

Burial was in the Elder Cemetery at Campbell, Mo.
