James "Sam" Sinyard, Jr., 59, of Holcomb, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 11, 2006, at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton, Ill.

Born Sept. 23, 1946, in Hawkinsville, Ga., raised by his grandparents, William and Maybelle Sinyard, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam.

On Aug. 21, 1999, in Gattlinburg, Tenn., he married Belva Brigman, who survives.

Survivors also include one son, James Brian Sinyard, of Hendersonville, N.C.; two daughters, Cheree Dawn Talent and Cheryl Diane Baynard, both of Hendersonville; two brothers, Larry Joe and James Allen Sinyard, both of Gordon, Ga.; three sisters, Patricia and Cindy Adams, both of Hawkinsville, Ga., and Regina Sinyard, of Tifton, Ga., and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be after 9 a.m., Friday, Sept. 15, at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 15, at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Ogelive officiating.
