Jay Howington

Jay I. Howington, 91, of Kennett, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006, at the Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett.

Born July 12, 1915, in Ft. Worth, Texas, son of the late Claude C. and Stella Howington, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII, and was in the restaurant supply business. He was a member of Shrine Maskat Temple and a Scottish Rite 32 Degree Mason.

He Married Caudell Johnson, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include one son, Jay I. Howington, Jr.; one step-son, Jim Colhouer and wife, Flo, of Kennett; one daughter, Anne Owen, of Aubrey, Texas; two grandchildren, Laura Colhouer Chand and John Colhouer and one great-grandchild, Aliah Chand.

Memorial services to be announced at a later date.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
