Donald Joe Wilson, 55, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006, at his residence.

Born June 28, 1951, in Blytheville, Ark., son of the late Joseph and Kay Cross Wilson, he was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed at Loxcreen Co. in Hayti, Mo.

On April 4, 1985, in Caruthersville, Mo., he married Joan Haynes, who survives.

Survivors also include six step-children, James, Ronnie and Anthony Crawford, Rebecca Cunningham, Judy Daniel and Debbie Cole; an adopted son, Hank Crawford; two brothers, William and Bobby Wilson; one sister, Peggy Wilson; 14 step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one step-granddaughter; one brother, Billy Joe Wilson and one sister Kay Lavern Wilson.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 5, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele, Mo., with Bro. Clifford Britt officiating.

Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.

Pallbearers were James, Anthony, Ronnie James, Ronnie Joe and Randy Crawford.

Honorary pallbearers were Jon Howell and Charles Armstrong.
