John Maxwell

John "Tiny" Maxwell, 66, of Kennett, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006, at Kennett.

Born Sept. 30, 1939, in Paragould, Ark., son of the late Ivory and Marka Elizabeth Park Maxwell, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran and an elementary school teacher.

On June 21, 1957, he married Betty Bishop, who survives.

Survivors also include one son, Scott Maxwell and wife, Debbie, of Paragould, Ark.,; one daughter, Kerry Parker and husband, Ron, of Kennett; one brother, Park Maxwell and wife, Wanda, of Paragould and five grandchildren, Matthew and Adam Parker, Ryan, Whitney and Landon Maxwell.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., today, Tuesday, Sept. 5, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Jansson and Father Alan Saunders officiating.

Burial was in the Cardwell Cemetery at Cardwell, Mo.

Pallbearers were Roger Wheeler, Jr., John Gamble, Mike Blankenship, Chris Rollins, Clay Bullard and Kerry Bickerstaff.

Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Dollins, Jim Bullard, Don Lynn, Dr. John McMullin, Ron Roberts, Sonny Burns, Clarence Killion, David Joe Hicklin and Jesse Hovis.
