Florence Parker Hanners, 79, of Fort Worth, Texas, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, at Fort Worth.

Born June 2, 1927, in Hornersville, Mo., daughter of the late Doc Anderson Ruffin and Charlotte Parker, she worked at Stripling Cox, Dillards and Wal-Mart.

Survivors include five sons, Von Hanners and Brad Hanners and wife, Gaylyn, all of Fort Worth, Barry Hanners and wife, Carol, of Natchitoches, La., Flynn Hanners and wife, Beverly, of Sherman, Ill., and Bart Hanners and wife, Teri, of Memphis, Tenn.; six granddaughters and three great-granddaughters.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Friday, Sept. 1, at the Calvario Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Worth.
