Shelby Jean Bowlby, 63, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at Blytheville, Ark.
Born Feb. 8, 1943, in Obion County, Tenn., daughter of the late Jim and Ollie B. Fowler Garrison, she was employed at the University of Missouri Delta Center in Portageville, Mo., and a member of the First Christian Church in Caruthersville
On Feb. 8, 1964, in Memphis, Tenn., she married J. Frank Bowlby, who preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1981.
Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Sheckell, of Caruthersville; one brother, Bobby Garrison and wife, Sherry, of Bourbonnais, Ill.; two sisters, Barbara Hutton and husband, Phil, of Jackson, Tenn., and Janice Rice, of Ridgely, Tenn., and one granddaughter, Stephanie Sheckell, of Caruthersville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 27, at the First Christian Church in Caruthersville with Tom Bowlby officiating.
Burial was in the Zion Cemetery at Cloverdale, Tenn.
Pallbearers were Adam Nelson, Chad Rice, Jeff Garrison, Ricky Bell, Randy Guest and Stan Dodd.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
