Born Aug. 7, 1923, in Holland, Mo., son of the late Thomas Gordon and Mary Bryant Davis, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in WWII.
On Sept. 19, 1944, in Holland, he married Melba Dean Culp, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Thomas Davis, Jr., and wife, Connie and Danny Ray Davis, all of Rives, Mo.; two daughters, Vicky Davis, of Rives and Regina Rastall and husband, Rodney, of Memphis, Tenn.; a sister, Thelma Heathcock, of Steele, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Shannon Davis, of Mesa, Ariz., Tony Davis, of Denton, Mo., Amy McCormick, of Blytheville, Danny Davis, Jr., of Rives, Dana Hamlett, of Gosnell, Ark., Renee Edington, of Steele and Sophie and Lucas Rastall, both of Memphis and 12 great-grandchildren, Ashlynn and T.J. Davis, both of Denton, Annabeth Quearry and Cole and Layne McCormick, all of Blytheville, Chase Davis, of Rives, Blake and Sydney Davis and Karlea Hamlett, all of Gosnell and Emily, Haley and Hunter Middleton, all of Steele.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Edward Davis and one great-grandson, Austin Davis.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 21, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with David Powell officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Terry Scott, Jimmy Atchison, Jarred Shaneyfelt, Steve Worrell and Ronald Grice.
