Glenn Etheridge Hooper, 76, of Union City, Tenn., died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006, at his residence.

Born May 11, 1930, in Obion County, Tenn., son of the late Joe and Lula Etheridge Hooper, he was a dock hand and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, having served during the Korean War.

On Nov. 27, 1959, he married Ann Webb, who survives.

Survivors also include one daughter, Lori Blair and husband, Tim, of South Fulton, Tenn.; one son, Jeff Hooper, of Troy, Tenn.; one sister, Hazel Gwaltney, of Union City; one brother, Bobby Hooper, of Troy and three grandchildren, Krista Davis and Kristopfer Hooper, both of South Fulton and James Hooper, of Troy.

He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters and a great-grandson, Dominic Linder.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., today, Friday, Aug. 18, at the White-Ranson Funeral Home in Union City with the Rev. Dale Batchelor officiating.

Burial was in the Obion County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Steve Arnold, Vic Smith, Tony Hooper, Randy Smith, Shelby Barker, Jimmy Hayes, Tim Blair, Brandon Davis and Bill Barr.

Honorary pallbearers were Kristopfer and James Hooper.
