Bertha Ligons Raley, 93, of Campbell, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.
Born March 28, 1913, in Qulin, Mo., daughter of the late Jesse Samuel and Dora Cunningham Brown, she was of the Assembly of God Faith.
On Oct. 6, 1926, in Piggott, Ark., she married Robert Ligons, who preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 1971. She later married Orin Raley on March 22, 1992, in Campbell. He preceded her in death on June 28, 1999. She was also receded in death by two sons, Harvey and Leon Ligons; one daughter, Genavern McCoy; three brothers, Cecil, Henry and Clettie Brown; two sisters, Lena Carroll and Grace James and four grandchildren, Billy Burt, Kathy Owenby, Vicky Willis and David Ligons.
Survivors include four daughters, Weiladean Morgan and Diana Willis, both of Campbell, Mavis Nigh, of Van Buren, Ark., and Beverly Albright, of Madisonville, Ky.; five sons, Lavern Ligons, of Malden, Mo., Bobby Ligons, of Oswego, Ill., Denver Ligons, of Ellsinore, Mo., Kenneth Ligons, of Campbell and Larry Ligons, of Qulin; 30 grandchildren; 84 great-grandchildren and 37 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., today, Friday, Aug. 18, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 19, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Earl Dell and Earnest Puckett officiating.
Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
