Gladys Craffard, 92, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born March 17, 1914, in Senath, Mo., daughter of the late J.C. "Com" and Addie Belle Ross Watson, she was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.
In 1928, she married Melvin Presley, who preceded her in death in 1945. She later married Glen Craffard, who preceded her in death on June 18, 1981. She was also preceded in death by one son, John Presley; one daughter, Myra Lee Presley; two brothers, Joe Watson and Glen Wells; one sister, Goldie Wilburn and her step-mother, Birtrue Watson.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Jean Presley, of Kennett; three brothers, Raymond "Sam" Watson, of Kennett, Don Watson, of Holcomb, Mo., and Bill Wells, of Plano, Texas; one sister, Veneda Slicer, of Branson, Mo., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., today, Thursday, Aug. 17, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Doug Clinton officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Johnny Bogle, Rick Burdin, Tommy Campbell, Glen Harris, Dean Tucker and Darrell Wheeler.
Honorary pallbearers were Herman Evans, Delbert Hawkins, C.E. Lemonds, Joe Lewellyng, Tommy Masterson, Bud Miller, Ken Smith and Jim Warrington.
