Survivors include two children, Marion Ray Bruton and wife, Jan and Shelby Bruton and wife, Jane, all of Mobile, Ala.; a step-son, Gene Akers and wife, Mary; one sister, Bernice Waldrop and husband, Merle; grandchildren, John and Jason Bruton, Jasmine Trefren, Mike and Pat Akers, Michelle Kraft and Tim Overton and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maudie Kelley Akers Bruton; a step-daughter, Lora Overton and four brothers, Henry, Frank, Edwin and Lawrence Bruton.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 16.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 17, at the John L. Siegenhein and Sons Funeral Home in St. Louis, Mo.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
