Clarence William "C.W." Stout, 88, of Caruthersville, Mo., formerly of Hayti, Mo., died Friday, Aug. 11, 2006, at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.
Born Dec. 17, 1917, in Steele, Mo., son of the late Edgar Thomas and Bessie Mae Bowes Stout, he was a farmer.
On Jan. 29, 1928, he married Pauline Estella Alford, who preceded him in death on Sept. 7, 1993. He was also preceded in death by one son, James Edward Stout; one daughter, Patricia Ann Latham; one brother, Jiggs Stout and one sister, Lavanna Hayes.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Hamilton and husband, Clarence, of Sodus, Mich., Peggie Dorr, Wanda Capps and husband, Dizer, and Brenda Shaver and husband, Warren, all of Caruthersville; two sons, Edgar Monroe Stout and wife, Connie, of Michigan City, Ind., and Donald Stout and wife, Linda, of Goose Creek, S.C.; four brothers, Hoyt Stout, of Ohio, Bobby Stout, of Dongola, Ill., Ralph Stout, of Holcomb, Mo., and Bill Stout, of Arizona; three sisters, Ruth Odom and Hazel Arbutra, both of Arizona and Emma Jean Crevison, of Ohio; 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 17, in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville, Mo., with Jeff Thomas officiating.
John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti is in charge of arrangements.
