Ella Christine Whiteside Davis, 90, of Campbell, Mo., died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006, at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.

Born June 11, 1916, in Piggott, daughter of the late Rev. James Rivers and Rose Emily Peterson Meriwether, she was a homemaker and a member of the Campbell General Baptist Church.

On Oct. 3, 1936, in Holcomb, Mo., she married Paul Byron Whiteside, who preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1974. She later married Ezra Davis on March 7, 1977, in Broseley, Mo., who survives.

Survivors also include two daughters, Genora Faughn and husband, David, and Kathy Freeman, all of Campbell; one son, Kenneth Whiteside and wife, Dorothy, of Searcy, Ark.; one brother, Louis Meriwether, of Campbell; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Verna Lee.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Friday, Aug. 11, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 12, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Earl D. Dell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Campbell.
