Thelma Dockins, 95, of Gideon, Mo., died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, at the Gideon Care Center.
Born July 15, 1911, in Senath, Mo., daughter of the late Robert and Clara Ham Mattics, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gideon.
On Feb. 8, 1935, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married Baun Dockins, who preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1975. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Wilma Sue Davis; four sisters, Opal Palmer, Grace Ward, Mable Houston and Nellie Stroup and two brothers, Alford and Ronie Mattics.
Survivors include four sons, Ronnie Dockins and wife, Ruby, of Kennett, Terry Dockins and wife, Jan, of Gideon, Jerry Dockins and wife, Virginia, of Bloomfield, Mo., and Donnie Dockins and wife, Valerie, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., today, Tuesday, Aug. 8, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
