Born Jan. 22, 1928, in Greene County, Ark. a son of the late Johnnie Hyde and Ester Cox Hyde Roberson, he was member of the Boilermakers Local 169 in Detroit, Mich. and after moving to Cardwell was co-owner with his wife of Mr. T's Riverside, auto sales, liquor store and the Cardwell Country Club. He was veteran of the U.S. Navy. His church home was with St. Paul Lutheran in Trenton, Mich. and First United Methodist Church in Paragould.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Ross Hyde; four daughters, Fritzi Hyde Janes and husband, Mack, of Marion, Pat Hyde Burns and husband, Jim, of Southgate, Mich., Lana Dollins Golden and husband, Jerry, of Lincoln Park, Mich. and Bonida Dollins Poyner and husband, Bob, of Cardwell; one son, Jay Dollins and wife, Karen, of Paragould, Ark.; one brother, Ronald Hyde and wife, Grace, of Fenton, Mich.; two sisters, Helen Conery of Pine Bluff, Ark. and Frankie Butler of Aurora, Ill.; two sisters-in-law, Joan Collins Ratton and Pat Ratton, both of Paragould; nine grandchildren, Tommy Mack Janes, D. Frank Golden, Brian Ross Poyner, Alecia Burns Faber, Kristy Burns Exner, Kelly Golden Faber, Brooksie Poyner Felty, Dana Dollins Cox and Jodi Dollins Leeker; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Hyde; a sister, Albertine Hyde Safley, and twin half brother and sister, Johnnie and Bonnie Roberson.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today, Sunday, August 6, at the Heath Colonial Chapel in Paragould with the Rev. Johnny Gomex officiating.
Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Southern Illinois Hospice or CASA of Williamson County, P.O. Box 972, Marion, Ill.
