Born July 2, 1938, in Silverdale, Mo., son of the late Harvey Washington and Willie Mae Ray Haygood, he was a farm laborer.
On April 30, 1959, in Cardwell, Mo., he married Carolyn Kirby, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Lonnie Haygood, of Jonesboro, Ark., and Chris Haygood and wife, Mellisa, of Kennett; one daughter, Laurie Crader and husband, Sammy, of Kennett; one brother, Cotton Haygood, of Hornersville, Mo.; two sisters, Dora Glisson, of Lilbourn, Mo., and Maxine Redmons, of Montgomery, Mo. and two grandchildren, Tyler and Macey Haygood, both of Kennett.
He was preceded in death by one brother, J.D. Haygood and two sisters, Lilly Baker and Dorothy Garner.
No services are planned.
