Lucille Diamond Cox, 83, of Campbell, Mo., died Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.
Born Aug. 14, 1922, in Campbell, daughter of the late Randzy Lowe and Stella Lawrey Baggett, she was a homemaker and a member of the Beechwell General Baptist Church in Campbell.
On April 30, 1938, in Kennett, she married Wilfred Earl Cox, who preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 1986. She was also preceded in death by one son, Joseph Cox; one brother, Johnny Baggett and one sister, Christine Pace.
Survivors include one daughter, Patsy Vails and husband, Frank, of Campbell; one son, Donald Earl Cox, of Campbell; two brothers, Arthur Louis and Hubert Baggett, both of Campbell; one sister, Mary Fields, of Malden; five grandchildren, Rodney Cox, of Garwood and Anthony Cox and Tina Burks, both of Campbell, Joseph Vails, of Malden and John Vails, of Marmaduke, Ark., and seven great-grandchildren, Nathan and Joey Vails, Patrick Burks II, Ashley Burks and Taylor and Lacey Cox, all of Campbell and Christy Cox, of Malden.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 27, in the Bethany Cemetery at Campbell with the Rev. Bryan Johnson officiating.
Landess Funeral Home of Campbell was in charge of arrangements.
