Born Feb. 18, 1913, in Greenbrier, Ark., son of Benjamin Louis and Matilda Ann Pate Stacy, he was a farmer and of the Assembly of God Faith.
On Feb. 19, 1946, in Blytheville, Ark., he married Jewell Irene Ferguson, who preceded him in death on June 6, 1963. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, John Wesley and Dow Stacy and one sister, Mary Rodgers.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Ann Thompson and Mary Laverne Frost, both of Kennett; one son, Jesse Louis Stacy, of Millington, Tenn.; three sisters, Jane Bastoni, of Melrose, Mass., Hazel Seats, of El Paso, Ark., and Charlcie Seats, of Cabot, Ark.; one brother, Abraham Lincoln Stacy, of El Paso; seven grandchildren, Duane, April, Louis, David, Brannon, Shannon and Jennifer and eight great-grandchildren, Katie, Chase, Peyton, Trey, Tyler, Tristan, Noah and Christian.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Friday, July 28, at the Okeena General Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Donnie Morrison officiating.
Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Duane Thompson, Louis Thompson, Brannon Frost, Shannon Stacy, Chester Holder and Steve Hall.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
