Kenneth Ashworth

Kenneth Ashworth, 88, of Kennett, died Saturday, July 22, 2006, at the VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Born June 18, 1918, in Clarkton, Mo., son of the late Robert Lee and Lulu Francis Thomas Ashworth, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII.

On Sept. 4, 1951, he married Rita Chamberlain, who survives.

Survivors also include one son, Donald Ashworth, of Petersburg Park, Fla.; two daughters, Donna Costa, of Laguna Beach, Calif., and Sharon Garcia, of Richland Hills, Texas; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 26, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 26, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. V.J. Brooks officiating.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
