Shelby Dee Ellis, 65, of Dexter, Mo., died Sunday, July 23, 2006, at her residence.
Born Dec. 29, 1940, in Risco, Mo., daughter of Reda Vivian Hatchett Brown and the late John Henry Brown, she was of the Pentecostal faith.
On Jan. 28, 1966, in Moline, Ill., she married Glenn M. Ellis, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, David Ellis, of Moline, Ill., and Rodger Ellis, of Malden, Mo.; one daughter, Debbie Henderson, of Dexter; her mother, Reda Brown, of Malden; three brothers, Georgie and Donnie Brown, both of Malden and Johnnie Brown, of Campbell, Mo.; four sisters, Ruby Liggons and Judy Arthur, both of Malden, Mable Gosa, of Beaverton, Ala., and Dorothy Thomas, of Gumbarrel, Texas; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Lenn Ray Ellis.
Funeral services were held at 9 a.m., today, Tuesday, July 25, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Revs. James Bolin and Earnest Puckett officiating.
Burial was in the Sadler Chapel Cemetery at Dexter.
