John A. Adams, 98, of Paragould, Ark., died Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital at Paragould, Ark.

Born March 25, 1908, at Lake City, Ark., he was the son of the late Amon and Katie Louisa Turvey Adams.

On June 30, 1929, at Paragould, Ark., he married Lucille Petty, who preceded him in death on June 7, 2003. He was also preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include one son, John M. Adams and wife, Janet, of Henderson, Tenn.; one daughter, Ruth Ann Estes, of Cardwell, Mo.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 21, at the McDaniel Chapel at Senath, with Greg Pollock officiating.

Burial followed at the Lulu Cemetery.
