Otto Bean, Jr., 68, of Peach Orchard, Mo., died Sunday, July 16, 2006 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Born January 1, 1938 in Gideon, Mo., the son of the late Otto Bean, Sr., and Alice Marie Lee Bean, he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Kennett, a farmer, and a state representative.

On Feb. 14, 1960 he married Janet Stillman Bean at Columbia, Mo.

Other survivors include two sons, Jason Bean and Barry Bean of Peach Orchard and a sister, Alma Coffey of Sikeston, Mo.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 22 at First Presbyterian Church in Kennett with Rev. Joe Porter officiating.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
