Wilta Brinsfield, 84, of Kennett, Mo., died Sunday, July 16, 2006 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born on April 18, 1922, in Hornersville, Mo., daughter of the late William Henry Allen and Minnie Bell "Lomax" Allen, she was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Kennett.

On May 13, 1950 at Clay County, Ark., she married Rev. Steve Brinsfield who preceded her in death.

Survivors include, a sister, Dollie Angel and husband John of Kennett, four nephews, Joe Wayne and Billy Wayne Johnson of St. Louis, Mo., Jimmy Angel of Kennett, Charles Wayne Angel of Bloomfield, Mo., and three nieces, Mary Ann Glasscock of Lake Ozarks, Mo., Janice Marie Dearing of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Carolyn Rene Jacobs of Kennett.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Beulah Johnson and Katie Marie Allen.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday, July 18 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., today, Wed., July 19 at First United Pentecostal Church in Kennett with Rev. Carroll McGruder, Rev. Don Sherrin and Rev. Tommy Swift officiating.

Pallbearers will be Johnnie Masterson, Charles McMillin, Gene Holligan, Will Jackson, Jim Butler and Joe Cook. Honorary will be Jack Harris.
