Edward Gerald Hyde, 72, of Cardwell, Mo., died Sunday, July 16, 2006, at the Senath Nursing Center at Senath, Mo.

Born April 6, 1934, in Cardwell, a son of Bennie Hyde of Paragould, Ark. , and the late Johnny Hyde, he was a retired carpenter and member of the Church of Christ.

Other survivors include his wife, Zelma Hyde, of Cardwell; two sons, Dennis Hyde and wife, Pam, of Daytona Beach, Fla. and Mark Hyde and wife, Shelly, of Arbyrd; two daughters, Jerri Davidson and Tina Davidson and husband, Jake, all of Cardwell; one brother, Dennis F. Hyde of Oak Grove Heights; two sisters, Joann Matthews of Raleigh, N.C. and Brenda Sonney of Paragould; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 18, at the Mitchell Funeral Home at Paragould.

A funeral procession will leave Mitchell Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. proceeding to the Cardwell Cemetery where graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. with Arthur Phelps officiating.

Pallbearers will include Joshua Davidson, Mark Davidson, Jake Davidson, Jason Godfrey, Chris Kellums and Mark Burgess.
