Born Jan. 20, 1925, in Eaton, Tenn., daughter of the late Wiley P. and Gillie Presley Ellis, she was a homemaker and employed as a bookkeeper. She was a member of the Garden Club and the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church.
On Dec. 8, 1939, in Osceola, Ark., she married Hugh Hennings Huntley, who preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1985.
Survivors include one daughter, Jean Bivens, of Caruthersville; three grandchildren, D.J. Jones, of Fayetteville, Ark., Jo Dawn Hooks, of Nashville, Ill., and Selina Thompson, of Caruthersville; four great-grandchildren, Jeannie Hames, of Springfield, Tenn., Dustin and Jo Ellis Hames, both of Caruthersville and Emily Hooks, of Nashville; two great-great-grandchildren, Brandon and Cameron Binner, both of Springfield and a special friend, Paul O'Dell, of Piggott, Ark.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 12, at the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dwight Chapman officiating.
Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Heath and Jo Dawn Hooks, Alton Thompson, Butch and Dustin Hames and Earl Curtis.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
