Edger Eddie Chailland, 52, of Kennett, died Friday, July 7, 2006, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Born Jan. 19, 1954, in Kennett, son of the late Lloyd Coleman and Marian Masters Chailland, he was a U.S. Navy veteran and in the construction business. He was a member of the Shady Grove Church in Kennett, Kennett Eagles, VFW Post 5443, Modern Day Vets and Am Vets.

Survivors include three brothers, Jackie Chailland and wife, Debbie and Richard Chailland, all of Kennett and Phillip Chailland, of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Wanda Leeker and husband, Tom and Marian Christian, all of Kennett and special friend, Teresa Gardner, of Kennett.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., today, Tuesday, July 11, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Jim Pemberton officiating.

Burial was in the Memorial Gardens at Kennett.
