Lela Mae Duke

Lela Mae Duke, 75, of Senath, Mo., died Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at her residence.

Born January 29, 1931, at Rector, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Buck and Edith Downey Russell.

In 1946, she married the late Dossie Duke. Others who preceded her in death were two sons, Dean Duke and Terry Dewayne Duke, and one daughter, Sharon Kay Duke.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry Duke, Terry Duke, and Kenny Duke, of Jones, Mich., five daughters, Helen Hatch and husband, Ray, of Jackson, Tenn., Linda Duke of Hornersville, Mo., Glenda Wimberly of Hornersville, Mo., Karen Williams and husband, Zeke, of Proctor, Ark., and Brenda Trewhitt and husband, Terry, of Marcellus, Mich., one brother, William Russell of Kansas City, Mo., four sisters, Zola Donavan of Kansas City, Mo., Diane Smith of Arbyrd, Mo., Chola Faye Rios of Senath, Mo., and Zoni Smith of Senath, Mo., seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 44 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2006, at the McDaniel Chapel in Senath, Mo., with the Rev. Denny Brown officiating.

Burial followed at the McGrew Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Rios, Michail Rios, Larry Rios, Carrie Trewhett, Bob McGrew, and Paul Potter.
