Linnie Wacker, 82, of Kennett, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Born Nov. 19, 1923, in Kennett, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Newd and Lola Ethel Sexton Waynick.

On Aug. 1, 1960, she married Leo Wacker, who survives.

Survivors also include two sons, James M. Akers, of Rockford, Ill., and Billy F. Akers, of Kennett; one daughter, Caroline Hanson, of Newalla, Okla.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Friday, July 7, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 8, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Sheerin officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
