Ceordies Alton Gatewood, Jr., 78, of Senath, Mo., died Sunday, June 25, 2006 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born April 28, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late Ceordies Alton, Sr., and Mary Wagner Gatewood.

Survivors include one son, Shelby Glenn Gatewood, of Dexter, Mo.; one daughter, Shelia Tucker, of Kennett; two brothers, Vilas Gatewood, of Wickenburg, Ariz., and Lindel Gatewood, of Olive Branch, Miss.; two sisters, Lillie A. Ashe, of Selmer, Tenn., and Laureen Hart, of Murray, Ky.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 30, in the Woodland Heights Cemetery at Rector, Ark. with the Rev. Charles James officiating.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
