Linda Kay Hicks, 57, of Malden, Mo., died Saturday, July 1, 2006, at Golden Gate National Senior Care.

Born Feb. 19, 1949, in Russell, Ark., daughter of the late Allen and Sarah Oleva Sherrill Kirkland, she was a member of the Church of God in Malden.

On Feb. 10, 1967, in Gideon, Mo., she married Jimmy Neal Hicks, who survives.

Survivors also include two daughters, Kim Brown and Korrie Davis and husband, Richard, all of Bernie, Mo.; eight sisters, Yvonne Halfacre, Betty Bishop and Nancy Kirkland, all of Bay, Ark., Annie Timms, of Bonne Terre, Mo., Paulette Wilson, Patricia Bishop and Angie Kirkland, all of Truman, Ark., and Peggy Hanna, of White Hall, Ark.; seven brothers, John Kirkland, of Hindsville, Ark., Dean and Ronald Kirkland, both of Jeno, La., Robert Kirkland, of Ripley, Tenn., Donald Kirkland, of Cleveland, Miss., Tommy Kirkland, of Truman, Ark., and Timmy Kirkland, of Lebanon, Tenn. and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Sarah Davis

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 3, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Terry Bilbrey officiating.

Burial was in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
