Velma Elaine Wright, 87, of Campbell, Mo., died Thursday, June 29, 2006, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born March 22, 1919, in White Oak, Mo., daughter of the late William and Lillie Cleve Miller Davis, she was a factory worker. She was a member of the General Baptist Church in Campbell, the Rebekah Lodge and Past Noble Grand and RSVP.
She married Vondas Perry Wright, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one son, Gale Wright and one daughter, W. Jerris Moore.
Survivors include one daughter, Carm Whiteaker Heald, of Troy, Mo.; one son, John Perry Wright, of Bay City, Mich.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Friday, June 30, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 1, at the General Baptist Church in Campbell with Pastor Earl D. Dell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
