Country Club to be featured on KAIT

Kennett residents watching KAIT8 news this evening may notice something familiar during the sports edition of the news.

At 6 p.m. and 10 p.m., the news channel will feature the Kennett Country Club as a part of its special sportszone series featuring various golf courses.

According to Mike and Vickie Long, who head the club's Pro Shop, the feature will include interviews with both Mike Long and grounds superintendent Randy Keiffner.

The interview covered topics such as green and cart fees and other subjects involving play of the course.

"Most of the things that I discussed during the interview were about the course's playing environment, its characteristics and personality," Long said.

His wife Vickie added that a photographer for the news channel also took some pictures of the course and of Keiffner hitting the ball near the low area of the course.

"We just found out that it will be airing on Tuesday night," Vickie Long said. "We are excited to see how it turned out."
