Ruth Ellis Wade, 70, of Hayti, Mo., died Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at the St. Francis Hospital at Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born July 27, 1935, at Summerville, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lilie Hancock. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She was a homemaker.
On November 13, 1981, she married Archie Wade, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Delories Eaton, Opal Hancock, Joy Parvin, Virginia Eaton, and Johnnie Morris.
Survivors include eight children, Raven Ruth Millwood of Double Springs, Ala., Tommy Dean Smith of Houston, Ala., Brenda Marks of Hayti, Mo., Theresa Gale Hall of Hayti, Mo., Margaret Jane Dodson of Hayti, Mo., Regina Peel Gregory of Kennett, Mo., Joyce Ann Simpson of Dale, Ark., and Hubert Neal Hood of Kennett, Mo., one brother, William Hancock of Mountain Home, Mo., 16 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 16, 2006, at the John W. German Funeral Home at Hayti, Mo. with the Rev. Paul Quinn officiating.
Burial followed at the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti, Mo.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
