Louise Elizabeth Hopper, 72, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at the Germantown Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tenn.
Born Dec. 10, 1933, in Bath Springs, Tenn., daughter of the late James Alver and Lonnie Bernice Chambers Adams, she attended school in Pemiscot County and was employed at Brown Shoe company. She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Caruthersville.
On Aug. 16, 1952, in Piggott, Ark., she married Joe Raymond Hopper.
Survivors include one son, Rick Hopper, of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters, Wanda Wilkeson and Karen Marshall, both of Caruthersville and Carla Paulson, of Branson, Mo.; one brother, Rex Adams, of Prattville, Ala.; seven sisters, Nona Jean, Brenda Mott, Mary Nell Clark and Doris Riggs, all of Caruthersville, Joyce Proctor, of Paragould, Ark, Donna Starling, of Cottage Grove, Tenn., and Darlene Bell, of San Antonio, Texas and eight grandchildren, Katherine Elizabeth and Jacob Daniel Howell and Brittany Elise Clark, all of Caruthersville, Elizabeth Karen Paulson and Robert Ruel "Trey" Paulson, III, both of Branson, Delaney Nicole and Alexia Tisha Hopper, both of Jacksonville, Fla., and Alicia Marshall, of Pevely, Mo.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Ed Adams.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 11, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with Jim Matthews officiating.
Burial will follow in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Trevor Wilkeson, James Marshall, Bob Paulson, Chris Riggs, Randy Proctor and Vivian Vela.
