Pauline Peel

Pauline Peel, 81, of Hayti, Mo., died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born Jan. 15, 1925, in Sulphur Rock, Ark., daughter of the late Floyd and Henritta Flenoy Strong, she was a homemaker and a member of the Full Gospel Evangelistic Church in Hayti Heights.

On May 12, 1946, in Newark, Ark., she married Robert Peel, Sr., who preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1982. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Elizabeth Peel and Gladys Jennings; two brothers, Charles and D.P. Strong and two sisters, Bessie and Margaret Strong.

Survivors include eight sons, Robert Peel, Jr., of Kennett, Charles E. Peel, of Caruthersville, Mo., Leon and James Peel and Bobby Peel and wife, Pauline, all of Malden, Mo., Jerry Peel, of Steele, Mo., Homer Peel, of Hayti and Clifford Peel, of Columbia, Mo.; six daughters, Joann Williams and Pauletta Jones, both of Minneapolis, Minn., Henrietta Payne and husband, Tommy, of Springfield, Mo., Trinita Peel, of Hayti, Bessie Roland and husband, Carl, of Kennett and Glenda Smith and husband, Cleo, of Aurora, Colo.; three brothers, N.H. Strong and wife, Willie C., of Batesville, Ark., Gabe Strong, of San Diego, Calif., and Elbert Strong, of Little Rock, Ark.; one sister, Ethel White and husband, Aaron, of Little Rock; 51 grandchildren and 60 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Tuesday, June 13, at the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Hayti with Bishop George Wilson and Elder C.M. Clayborn officiating.

Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Hayti.

Pallbearers were Robert and Byron Walker, Tony Payne, and Robert, Elic and Paul Peel.

Honorary pallbearers were her sons.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
