Marion Lee Perkins, 74, of Kennett, died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at St. Francis Medical Center in Bartlett, Tenn.

Born Feb. 20, 1932, in Jackson, Ohio, son of the late Matthew and Hazel Brandon Perkins, he was a U.S. Army veteran.

On Sept. 28, 1974, in Chicago, Ill., he married Mattie Bush, who survives.

Survivors also include two daughters, Pandora Smith and husband, Kenneth, of San Diego, Calif., and Jeannine Perkins, of Kennett and seven grandchildren, Andrea Perkins, Jaheim and Jahuell Simmons, all of Kennett and Kendon, Tia, Krystal and Diamond Smith, all of San Diego.

Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m., today, Tuesday, June 13, at the Victory Temple Church of God in Christ in Kennett with Pastor Nathaniel A. Ellis officiating.

Burial was in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.
