Virginia D. Giddings, 86, of Bridgeton, Mo., died Friday, June 9, 2006.

Born August 20, 1919, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Sue Harris of St. Charles, Mo. and was a homemaker.

On March 1, 1941, she was married to the late William B. Giddings, who was born in Kennett.

Survivors include four sons, William Giddings III, of Columbia, Mo., John Giddings, of Mesa, Ariz., James Giddings, of Westerly, Rhode Island, and Robert Giddings, of Hillsboro, Mo., one sister, Marie Whitten, of Columbia, Mo., and two brothers, Frank Crites, of Jackson, Mo., and Weldon Crites of Mississippi.

Visitation was from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, June 11 at the Alexander Funeral Home in St. Charles.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, June 12 at the Alexander Funeral Home.

Burial followed at the Memorial Park Cemetery at Cape Girardeau, Mo.
