Born Oct. 21, 1921, in Kennett, son of the late Harley C. and Effie May Shipman Pearson, he was a U.S. Army-Air Corps veteran, having served in WWII and was employed at G.M. Fisher Body Plant #1. He was a member of Faith Tabernacle in Flint, Mich., and the U.A.W. Local #581.
On May 5, 1944, in Piggott, Ark., he married Wanda Hurn, who survives.
Survivors also include one brother, Jim Pearson, of Davison, Mich.; three grandchildren, Glen Clark, of Kalamazoo, Mich., Becky Polsgrove, of Alabama and Tracy LaFalce, of Grand Blanc; five great-grandchildren, Krista, Samantha, Cassie, David and Ally; one great-great-grandson and a son-in-law, Jerry Polsgrove, of Alabama.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Penny Polsgrove and Vicki Clark.
Funeral services were held at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, May 11, at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Blanc with the Rev. Berniece Matejcek officiating.
Burial with military honors were held at the Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.
