Elvis Costephens, 91, of Holcomb, Mo., died Friday, June 2, 2006, at National HealthCare at Kennett.

Born Feb. 16, 1915, at Shook, Mo., a son of the late Clardy and Lulu "Lee" Costephens, he was a member of First Assembly of God at Kennett and a retired Assembly of God minister.

On August 24, 1936, he married Stella Esarey who preceded him in death Jan. 4, 2003. He was also preceded in death by one son, Buford Costephens, one grandson, Terry Costephens and two brothers, Cletus and Elmo Costephens.

Survivors include one daughter, Lucille Liles and husband, Pete, of Corning, Ark., one sister, Eula Boyet of Sullivan, Mo. one daughter-in-law, Shirley Costephens of Malden, Mo.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 6 p.m.-9 p.m. today, Sunday, June 4, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services are 1 p.m. Monday, June 5, at McDaniel Chapel with the Rev. James Robert, the Rev. Kenny Ford and John Liles officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers are Delane Liles, David Liles, Buford Costephens Jr., Dean Costephens, Rodney and Chris Berry.

Honorary pallbearers are Frankie Campbell, Jim Blankenship, Larry Webb, Orville Alsup, Burl Johnston, Kenneth Ford and Robert Copeland.
