Willie Mays Caldwell, 50, of Clarkton, Mo., died Sunday, May 21, 2006, at his residence.
Born May 27, 1955, in Gideon, Mo., son of Willie Louis and Lucy Ann Ross Caldwell, he was a truck driver and a member of the Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Malden, Mo.
On Aug. 21, 1991, he married Peggy Hankston.
Survivors include one son, Shelvan Parker and wife, Tammy, of Kennett; one daughter, Erica Sexton and husband, William, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; mother, Lucy Caldwell, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; father, Willie Caldwell, of Memphis, Tenn.; nine brothers, Eddie Caldwell, of Ringold, Ga., James Caldwell, of Malden, Calvin Ayers, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Donald Caldwell and Tommy Ross, both of Clarkton, Willie Jr., and Dewayne Caldwell, both of Chattanooga, Bobby Ross, of Pensecola, Fla., and Sidney Ross, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; nine sisters, Gloria Evans and Mary Ann Hart, both of Clarkton, Regina Andrews, Barbara Abraham and Lisa Caldwell, all of Poplar Bluff, and Carolyn Thornton, Marylin Johnson, and N/Shay and De/Shaley Caldwell, all of Chattanooga and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, May 25, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Ron Webb officiating.
Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
