Delpha Joyce Hughes, 69, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at Warrensburg, Mo.

Born May 9, 1937, in Concord, Mo., daughter of the late Vada and Stella May Holland Maners, she was employed at Colson Equipment Company and of the Church of Christ faith.

On May 21, 1955, in DeSoto County, Miss., she married Horace Hughes, who survives.

Survivors also include two daughters, Kitty Teeter, of Warrensburg and Terri Kinney, of Anderson, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Lauren and Grant Kinney, Chasity Womble and David Scott, Joshua and Dustin Teeter; one great-granddaughter, Halle Womble and three great-grandsons, Christian, Noah and Eli Teeter.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby Gene, Tommy and Parker Gerald Maners.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 22, at the Central Church of Christ in Caruthersville with Mike McDaniel officiating.

Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were Charles Garrard, Larry and Joe Parrott, P.G. and Danny Maners and Bob and Earl Holland.

H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
