Born Nov. 16, 1923, in Kennett, son of the late Ray and Flora Southern Burnett, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII.
He married Valice Cox, who preceded him in death. He later married Rebecca Channell, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Bobby Ray Morris Burnett and wife, Carolyn, of Senath, Mo.; three daughters, Linda Ann Davis, of The Colony, Texas, Wanda Kay Brown, of Kennett and Deanna Jean Myers and husband, Gerald, of Rector, Ark.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 24, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 24, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jamie Grisham officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Stanley Goodrich, Danny Crawford, Len Davis, Terry Ray Brown, Terry Lee Brown and Randy Vardell.
