David Southard, 64, of Senath, Mo., died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born Oct. 23, 1941, in Senath, son of Velma Gentry Southard and the late Lyman Southard, he was a U.S. Army veteran.

On July 4, 2000, in Kennett, he married Kathy Lancaster, who survives.

Survivors also include four sons, Clifton, Shawn, David Scott Southard and William Charles Bauer, Jr.; one step-son, Christopher Lancaster; one daughter, Carla Southard; his mother, Velma Southard, of St. Louis; two brothers, Charles Southard, of St. Louis, Mo., and Herbert Gentry, of Texas and 17 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, James Southard.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., today, Thursday, May 11, at the Full Gospel Church in Senath with the Rev. Andy Smith officiating.

Burial was in the Senath Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Junior Jaco, Tim Dinkins, Ricky Batchelor, Pat Tune, Dale Glover and David Dolea.

Honorary pallbearers were Billy McClish, Lester Hunter, Bud Brooks and Ronnie Newman.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath was in charge of arrangements.
