Stella Pearl Drennon, 97, of Gideon, Mo., died Saturday, May 6, 2006, at National HealthCare in Kennett.
Born April 8, 1909, in Calico Rock, Ark., daughter of the late Jack and Mariah Langston Jones, she was of the Methodist faith.
On June 25, 1925, in Battle Ax, Ark., she married Earnest Drennon, who preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1989. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Vernon and J.B. Drennon; five brothers, Walter, Troy, Luther, Homer and Earl Jones; two sisters, Clara Woods and Gladys Kinnery; one grandson, Michael Repetto and one great-grandson, Benjamin Repetto.
Survivors include four daughters, Earnestine Drennon, of Bono, Ark., Virginia Repetto and husband, Cleatis, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Marie Arnold and husband, Charles, of Lakeland, Fla., and Jackie Hames and husband, Michael, of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Inez Towell, of Cherry Valley, Calif., and Joan Whitehead, of Manila, Ark.; one brother, Coy Jones, of Missoula, Mont.; seven grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services were held at 11:30 a.m., today, Tuesday, May 9, in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo., with Michael Hames, Jr. officiating.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Gideon was in charge of arrangements.
